Andrew Hockton successfully defends trainee GP at the GMC

On 28th July 2014, at the conclusion of an 11 day hearing before the Fitness to Practise Panel of the GMC, the panel determined that the fitness to practise of Dr V, a trainee GP at the relevant time, was not impaired and that a warning was unnecessary. The case involved various allegations of inappropriate conduct. The same legal team had previously successfully defended the doctor in relation to the complaint in criminal proceedings. The doctor was represented by Andrew Hockton, instructed by Angela Pilling, a partner at Ryan solicitors
