Gerry Boyle jury trial success

Gerry recently successfully defended the Chief Constable of Kent in a claim for wrongful arrest and false imprisonment.
The two Claimants, husband and wife, were arrested by Kent officers who suspected they had been involved in a commercial burglary during which over £100,000 worth of clothing from the All Saints clothing chain had been stolen. Gerry managed to persuade the judge and jury that it was necessary to arrest the claimants even though they had voluntarily attended the scene of the crime to assist with the investigation.
The claim was dismissed with costs.
