He has acted in cases involving deaths in custody, deaths following restraint, positional asphyxia, excited deliriums and road traffic collisions.
He acted for the Essex Police at the inquest into the death of Peter Kirkwood, who took his own life in prison following an extended period of police detention; and the West Midlands Police at the inquest into the death in custody of Lee Mayne, who died following alcohol withdrawal.
