Jemma Lee represents South East Coast Ambulance Service at inquest into death of Brighton Marathon runner

Jemma Lee represented SECAMB in an inquest concerning the death of 23 year old Sam Harper Brighouse who died whilst running the Brighton Marathon earlier this year. The coroner found that Mr Brighouse died as a result of bowel ischaemia with gastrointestinal haemorrhage as an idiosyncratic reaction to endurance exercise with hyperthermia and dehydration and the use of NSAIDS and hyperosmolar sports supplements. The coroner returned a conclusion of misadventure.
