Debra Powell acts for Official Solicitor in urgent caesarean section case

Debra Powell acted for the Official Solicitor in this urgent case where a woman who was 32 weeks pregnant and suffering from psychosis and poorly controlled diabetes required an urgent caesarean section in order that her diabetes could be treated. As she lacked capacity to decide for herself the Trust applied to the Court of Protection on an urgent basis for an order allowing them to perform a caesarean section the same evening.
