Stephen Morley advises Lancashire Constabulary in relation to the ‘Blind Man Shot with Taser’ case

Stephen Morley acted as legal advisor in the Gross Incompetence hearing conducted by Lancashire Constabulary in relation to the use of Taser on Colin Farmer, a visually impaired gentleman walking with the aid of a ’sight stick’. Following reports of a man with a Samurai sword in Chorley town centre in October 2012 PC Wright saw Mr. Farmer and mistook his ’sight stick’ for a sword and discharged his Taser.
