Anthony Haycroft secures a successful outcome before a Medical Practitioners Tribunal in July 2023 for an aesthetic doctor who was accused of dishonesty, falsifying clinical records and forgery
28th July 2023
The doctor admitted all charges. The MPT found the circumstances were unusual and that the doctor had full insight into her wrongdoing and accepted the defence submission that there was nothing more the doctor could have done to remediate. It was accepted that the doctor had been bullied into her wrongdoing by her employer. The doctor self-referred and also referred her employer for numerous irregularities and fully co-operated with the investigation into that matter.
The doctor submitted that there was misconduct and impairment on public interest grounds only and not public protection and that a proportionate response would be a very short period of suspension. The MPT agreed and imposed a two-month period of suspension with no review and no immediate order.
Anthony Haycroft was instructed by Ewan Bright of Clyde & Co of London.
