Claire Watson successfully resisted the GMC appeal on behalf of defendant, Dr Chandra. This was the first GMC appeal against a restoration decision to be heard by the High Court and is the first of the GMC’s appeals that has been unsuccessful since s.40A of the Medical Act 1983 came into force.
