Following the release of this year’s editions of Chambers & Partners and The Legal 500, we now have 199 recommendations across 13 fields, having achieved 41 new rankings this year.

Serjeants’ Inn is now now 17th out of the 50 sets Chambers & Partners identify as holding the highest proportionate number of barrister rankings and is also, for the third year running, a Chambers and Partners Top 20 Client Service set. We are commended by Chambers and Partners for providing client service of the highest quality having “developed a bespoke client care team, something unique to the Bar”.  It notes our “unfailingly helpful clerks” who “will move heaven and earth”. The Legal 500 also praises our “gold star service”.

As leading practitioners in our fields, we again have band 1 set rankings for Clinical Negligence, Inquests and Inquiries, Police Law and Professional Discipline and Regulatory Law.

For Clinical Negligence, The Legal 500 describes Serjeants’ Inn as “at the top of the field….the place to go”, echoed by Chambers and Partners who describe the set as “roundly admired” in this field.

In the Inquests and Inquiries arena Chambers and Partners describes Serjeants’ Inn as having a “expert silks and well-regarded juniors… a very good breadth of experience”.

In the area of Police Law, Serjeants’ Inn is noted by Chambers and Partners as the leading set “able to combine intelligence with persuasive advocacy”, further stating that we have been the number one set in the UK for over a decade.

Chambers and Partners report that Serjeants’ Inn is “acclaimed for its Professional Discipline work” and singles us out as a “stand out set” for Court of Protection work.

In relation to Administrative and Public Law, Serjeants’ Inn is described by The Legal 500 as “steadfast in its client support” and “a strong public law set.”

Similarly, for Product Liability matters The Legal 500 notes that we are “a very strong set”.

Serjeants’ Inn barristers are also ranked as leaders in the field for Civil Liberties and Human Rights, Education, Employment, Financial Crime, Financial Services, and Social Housing.

We were delighted also to be shortlisted for clinical negligence set and clinical negligence silk of the year (Angus Moon QC) at this year’s Chambers and Partners Awards with Anthony Haycroft winning Professional Discipline Junior of the Year.
