Gerry Boyle successfully defended a claim brought by a young man alleging that he had been negligently operated upon by an orthopaedic surgeon. The Claimant also alleged that the Trust’s arrangements for post-operative follow up for day case surgery were inadequate. The judge rejected the Claimant’s case on breach and causation.
