High Court Appeal: Amardeep Dhillon appears in case concerning solicitor’s undertaking and a contract for sale
27th July 2023
Amardeep Dhillon appeared (as a junior) in an interesting appeal in the High Court in Birmingham last week, concerning the correct interpretation of a solicitor’s undertaking given at a time when a commercial contract for sale was also being executed, the dispute centering upon the terms upon which the deposit was held.
It is the first High Court authority on the interaction between an undertaking and a contract for sale, since the case of Global Marine Drillships [2011] EWHC 2685 (Ch).
Amardeep was instructed by Askews Legal and led by Tom Poole K.C.
