Malcolm Fortune represents NHS Trust in the “Hot Dog” Burns Case

Malcolm Fortune appeared in December for The Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust in a case involving a Patient who had been seriously burned by a “Hot Dog” warming mattress during an operation.
During the Hearing before Sweeney J, Dr Paul Sigston, the Trust’s Medical Director, apologised to the Patient for the injury caused and the resulting trauma. The Trust was ordered to pay a fine of £160,000.
