Michael Mylonas QC shortlisted as Legal Personality of the Year

Congratulations to Michael Mylonas QC who is shortlisted as Legal Personality of the Year at the LexisNexis Legal Awards on the strength of a succession of key cases last year. This includes a new use of the Mental Capacity Act to secure the extraction and posthumous use of a fatally injured man’s sperm to allow the victim’s wife to have his baby after his death. Michael also represented the hospital throughout the Alfie Evans proceedings and is appearing pro-bono for the child in last week’s case concerning a transgender parent who is challenging their description as the mother on the baby’s birth certificate (instructed respectively by Vardags, Hill Dickinson and Cambridge Family Law Practice)
