Pravin Fernando successfully represented the Care Quality Commission (CQC) on an appeal to the First-tier Tribunal (Health, Education and Social Care Chamber) in a case concerning the CQC’s refusal to exercise its discretion to vary the registration conditions of a service provider pursuant to section 12(5) of the Health and Social Care Act 2008.
